I did not think I’d be eligible but…
I did not think I’d be eligible but Charles and Kate have been fantastic guiding me through and overseeing what has resulted in a 2 phase upgrade. Phase 1 loft insulation completed – the house is now noticeably less draughty. Phase 2 is just about to start this will get some heating into my home. Although the process took awhile before the work started I have been kept up-to-date with application progress throughout. Altogether a good experience. Thank you

Funding 4 Home owners
At G4hi.co.uk, we make it simple for homeowners to access government-backed eco-funding and upgrade their properties. There are multiple application pathways available, and you do not need to be on benefits to qualify. In fact, several schemes have no income threshold at all; eligibility can be based purely on the condition and efficiency rating of your home.
These funding schemes are not “handouts” they are mainly financed through the Green Levy on electricity bills that we have all been paying for years. In other words, you’ve already contributed to these programmes, so why not apply and secure the upgrades your property needs?
From insulation to heating upgrades and renewable technologies, eco-funding helps bring homes up to modern standards, making them warmer, more efficient, and less costly to run, all while doing your part to reduce carbon emissions.
Funding 4 Tenants
If you’re renting, you can still benefit from eco-funding to make your home warmer, more efficient, and cheaper to run. As the person living in the property, eligibility and applications are made in your name, but they do require your landlord’s permission before we can carry out the zero-cost retrofit survey. This survey confirms exactly which funded measures; such as insulation, heating upgrades, or solar panels are available for your home.
Tenants have access to the same application pathways as homeowners, and in many cases funding is not linked to income or benefits. Some schemes are based solely on the condition and energy performance of the property.
Remember, these schemes are supported by the Green Levy we all pay through our electricity bills. You’ve already contributed; so why not take advantage of the upgrades on offer and enjoy a more comfortable, energy-efficient home while helping reduce carbon emissions?
Funding 4 Landlords
As a landlord, you can register your property with g4hi.co.uk to explore eco-funding opportunities — but it’s important to note that your tenants must agree to participate in the process. Applications are always made in the tenant’s name, and we will never hassle or pressure them to apply. It is 100% their choice.
By granting permission and encouraging your tenants to take part, (subject to eligibility criteria) your property becomes eligible for a zero-cost retrofit survey, which identifies the specific funded measures available — from insulation and heating upgrades to renewable energy options.
These improvements don’t cost you as the landlord, but they can add significant value to your property, improve compliance with energy-efficiency (EPC and MEES) regulations, and make your property more comfortable, cost less to run and hence more appealing for tenants.
Since the funding is in the main financed through the Green Levy we all contribute to via electricity bills, this is an opportunity to explore enhancing your property at no direct cost to you.
